I missed a day

I didn't take any photos yesterday, I was incredibly sad. As a result, I'm going to post a few older photos. Both of these were from April! It was around 32C each day (That's almost 90F) I managed to get down to the pool before too many people were crowding the water and edges. There is no way that I would be able to get down there before people started to take up the area anymore. Coming on August and /everyone/ is willing to jump into the pool now.

It is, of course, in the 36-40C range daily, though. And the water is a lot warmer. Infinitely warmer, actually. It's like jumping into a tepid bath. Which can be refreshing, when you think about how hot it is. Well, it's not that bad for Central Texas. I know it could be a lot worse. As a matter of fact, I know it's been a lot worse. Last summer 'round this time of year it was getting up to 45C (113F) and above! The top temperature was almost 52C (That's 125F)
This little girl is named Nichole, She's the daughter of one of our apartment maintenance men. I occasionally babysit for her and her older brother, and both of them are very sweet. Nichole has eyelashes that a million Hollywood starlets would kill for. Long and gorgeous. And she's the prettiest little girl. I lovelovelove her.

Tomorrow I will definitely have more photos, new photos. There is my former brother in law's birthday and then the Young Adults has rented the ARK!! It should be fun. Lots of photo opportunities.

New Blog and first photos

It's pretty simple. I'm going to make a blog, for photography, and you're going to read it. Or just look at the pretties. I'm not sure which.

This morning, I went walking with my dog, something I do as soon as I wake up, and these little mushrooms had popped up sometime during the night. I had to run back in an get my camera, bleary eyed, and finally managed to snap a picture after the humidity stopped fogging up my lens. (Poor lens baby)

My days are pretty slow right now. Waiting for school to start up again, and looking for a job (I'm trying to push the 'get a real job' button.) The dogs and I are hanging out in the living room, blogging and, well, they're playing with their fox. Dead foxie.

Other than that, I'm going to try updating with one or two photos a day, and hopefully I'll be able to keep this going. Trying to get shiny-things.net started up, and when that is, I'm probably going to export my blog to photography.* I'll let you know before that happens.
